MHC #63 - Honoring CEDAR Tree in our 13 Trees in 13 Moons Series
Description
Monthly Herbal Council at ELDERMOON School - #63 - Honoring CEDAR TREE
It’s been called the tree that houses the gods.
It's been called "The Tree of Life"
The wood is sacred.
The needles that lay like scales on top of each other in order to exchange water with the air are sacred.
The smoke that rises from burned wood or burned needles is sacred.
We know the beauty of Cedar for building the structures and things we humans need and desire to live in part due to how it has the ability to last because of the oils and resins infused within the wood that gives it stability, perseverance, and presence that lasts long after it’s cut from Earth.
There’s medicine too. And in my apothecary I consider this sacred as well.
We meet for a monthly council at ElderMoon School where we’ve dedicated 13 months to 13 trees that have been very generous to humanity with food, medicine, fiber, and more.
RECORDING DELIVERED WITH PURCHASE
We sit together in circle as we hear each other’s + ancient stories, share planting, conservation awareness, botany and growing, harvest and medicine making skills, and complete our time with a medicine journey to the tree for connection and listening.
