at ElderMoon School of Herbs & Earth Medicine
Come join the Herbal Council Meetings each month at EMS for one hour/month as we do what herbalists do and 'speak plant' while turning our attention towards the plants, our own needs, the needs of our people, the nature of healing, and the healing of Earth by becoming good medicine.
If you've ever turned to a plant for healing then there's an herbalist within and definitely a seat for you in this council. Learning the language and walk is easier than you think. Come and absorb.
All currently enrolled EMS Birthing an Herbalist in 13 Moons herbal students receive access to these councils for FREE as part of your study time to expand on topics touched upon lightly during course time. This allows us to go deeper into pertinent topics you desire to know more about.
Topics are announced 1-2 weeks prior and are often prompted by our current EMS herbal students as we deepen our walk as 'Herbalists'. We've opened these to beginners and seasoned herbal folk looking to connect in council on behalf of Nature and the deepening of our connection as people walking this land together. We continue our wander through the apothecary shelves here at ElderMoon School with our A-Z Material medica, plant by plant each month.
So, we land with BURDOCK this month.
Come sit as we share of the medicine of BURDOCK - ROOT, STALK, LEAF, FLOWER, AND SEED! Yes, the entire plant is generous with its whole body in offering support. What an abundance of medicine and food Burdock shares. Burdock also share the strength of being anchored to Earth, deeply rooted, nourished, and flexible in the face of adversity. It has a slow kind of medicine that moves deeply underneath what appears to be "stuck" or fixed. Burdock will move it and gently too.
