at ElderMoon School of Herbs & Earth Medicine
Come join the Herbal Council Meetings each month at EMS for one hour/month as we do what herbalists do and 'speak plant' while turning our attention towards the plants, our own needs, the needs of our people, the nature of healing, and the healing of Earth by becoming good medicine.
If you've ever turned to a plant for healing then there's an herbalist within and definitely a seat for you in this council. Learning the language and walk is easier than you think. Come and absorb.
All currently enrolled EMS Birthing an Herbalist in 13 Moons herbal students receive access to these councils for FREE as part of your study time to expand on topics touched upon lightly during course time. This allows us to go deeper into pertinent topics you desire to know more about.
Topics are announced 1-2 weeks prior and are often prompted by our current EMS herbal students as we deepen our walk as 'Herbalists'. MHC#88 - BLACK WALNUT TREE Medicine - Plant Profile - 9/25/2024 - Wednesday @12:30p EST - 75m council
We continue our wander through the apothecary shelves here at ElderMoon School with our A-Z Material medica, plant by plant each month. I paused for end of summer and we will catch up in September with two councils.
So, we land with BLACK WALNUT TREE this month.
If you've walked with me a little then you know how much I LOVE Black Walnut Tree. I'm asking black Walnut to sit with us and tease forward things we haven't considered before about its dynamic and powerful medicine and presence.
We remain curious.
We keep the doors open to new whispers from this magnificent teacher.
Our little Black Walnut tree gifted to me at 6 inches tall is 6 feet tall now and quite happy. It still needs some protection from our deer. They will defoliate it. They just can’t help themselves. I look forward to removing the fencing in a year or two.
Come with tea, a journal or notebook, any beloved stories you’ve received, and some uninterrupted time and we’ll dive in with this powerful healer and teacher. We’ll end with a guided meditation and maybe some homework if our plant teacher calls for this.
