Private Herbal Class Creations
Private herbal classes are a great way to gather your friends and plunge deeper with a topic. For example, protecting family during flu season, menopause support, how to prepare for surgery and recovery, lyme disease, how to make facial cream, herbal aphrodisiacs, wild edible cooking skills, therapeutic herbal liqueurs, syrups and elixirs.... how to self-initiate with plants diets, connecting to the Spirit of Place and land connection support, and more just to name a few within the massive possibilities we have. What is calling you? I will refer you to others if what you need is not within my skill-set.
Generally we need at least 2 hours, or more, and that will gives us time to cover a topic relatively well. Some topics just need more time and I'll inform you of this should it become obvious. The usual arrangement is 2-4 hrs with a pot luck at the end but that is up to you and your group. I've worked with historic societies, universities, homeschooling groups, groups of parents and children in a common neighborhood, and homesteaders teaching wild plant identification, wild food recipes, and herbal preparation skills.
Other considerations woven into many of my creative classes: I'm an avid bread baker with a long history of canning, cheese and jam making, plus many fermentation practices. Dad was a hunter my entire childhood and we raised many chickens for eggs and meat so yes, well-tended, clean harvested, and hand-processed meat is within my skill set as well. Odd but yes, I've taught cleaning deer, wild turkeys, ducks, pheasants, and of course, chickens.
